yusaku kamekura
I adore the work of Japanese graphic designer, Yusaku Kamekura.
He was heavily influenced by German Modernism and Russian Constructivism and studied at the Institute of New Architecture and Industrial Arts in Tokyo, which was estabilshed solely with the aim of introducing Bauhaus design theories in Japan. Amazing!
From 1937 he also worked as an art director on a number of Japanese magazines,...

saipua
I’ve been following the blog of Saipua for about a year. They are a small family owned florist from Brooklyn who create beeeaaaauutiful floral arrangements as well as handmade natural soap. My Mum was a florist, and from when we were very young, taught my sister and I how to arrange flowers. I miss her alot, but I like having beautiful flowers at home because reminds me of her.

megabytes of spring
Reed + Radar are a creative duo based in New York, who are putting out some really innovative ”Augmented Reality” fashion editorials using (one of my favourite things) GIFS!
“Megabytes Of Spring” is some of their most recent work for V Magazine. I am still really into V - it’s over-sized format and fresh editorials keep me buying the hard copies too.

rojo rocket
On New Year’s day we rented a car and went on an adventure. We found ourselves at a magical place we’d only heard rumours about before - Rojo Rocket. If you are in Sydney and like doing awesome shit, I highly recommend venturing out here on a sunny afternoon for traditional Mexican food (and do yourself a favour by ordering the Rollos De Cangrejo - deep fried crab rolls, stuffed...

genius child
This is a song for the genius child.
Sing it softly, for the song is wild.
Sing it softly as ever you can -
Lest the song get out of hand.
Nobody loves a genius child.
Can you love an eagle,
Tame or wild?
Can you love an eagle,
Wild or tame?
Can you love a monster
Of frightening name?
Nobody loves a genius child. Kill him - and let his soul run wild.

stickers
I am so nostalgic for old skate graphics and stickers at the moment. I lived in a house with 4 skateboarders when I was 17 and used to cop all of the stickers and patches they were given. These are 2 of my favourites!

I know every girl and her dog has “clogs” now - but these new colourways from Hasbeen’s totally float my boat!
