alex prager
Every now and then I discover something or someone new that makes me literally squeal with delight from my eyes being so overwhelmed by amazingness. Stumbling upon Alex Prager’s work gave me exactly that reaction.
She works between NY and LA, and the colour, tone and styling of her romantic (and somewhat creepy - almost…Hitchcock meets Cindy Sherman?) photography...

a graphic cosmogony
Since discovering No Brow Press I think I have bought almost everything from their entire catalogue! I adore all of their releases - each one being an utter feast for the eyes. The Graphic Cosmogony is the most recent addition to my collection.

twist & amaze
We went and checked out the new (huge) Twist / Barry McGee and Amaze pieces, right in the centre of Sydney on the weekend. The wall of red tags is so beautiful and enormous, it’s a lil overwhelming. They are off Abercrombie Lane in the CBD so you should definitely go check them out if you’re in the area.

streets of your town
I was recently very honoured to be asked by City of Sydney to create a mural on a wall in Surry Hills. A number of other amazing artists were also chosen, including Beastman, Jumbo & Zap, Numskull & YOK (in whose company I feel very overwhelmed & proud!) I based the typography on The Go-Betweens song, Streets Of Your Town.
It was the most daunting (and exhausting - see the ravishing...

ghosts
Look at this gorgeous animated typography from Ruslan Khasanov. They were created by painting letterforms into a sink with ink, and photographing them as they were being washed away. Like ghosts.

tattoo you
This is my darling friend Eileen. Isn’t she gorgeous? So she really likes cats and for her birthday once I drew one on a card for her. She liked it so much she actually got it tattooed! What an honour!

wish list
Can everything from the Gorman Spring Collection please be mine? Polka dots are bordering on being my signature. I’d have lots of fun in those dresses!
